In this work, I took a critical making approach to understand political discourse. Working with a partner, we looked at parliamentary designs and staged a series of multi-directional debates with design interventions. This culminated in the product design of a critical chat platform. Crafting the interface and branding was a designerly inquiry into how Chantal Mouffe’s notion of Agonostic Pluralism and Donna Haraway’s Situated Knowledges are theoretical frames to understanding public discourse online today.
